Description: We are located in the heart of beautiful Montana. If you plan a vacation with us, you will experience real ranch living. You will also be close to the many other attractions that Montana offers. Our home ranch offers over 7000 acres, but you may be traveling to one of our other ranch locations, depending on how you structure your stay with us. We want to show you how a real ranch is run and include you in our day-to-day activities. However, if you prefer, hikes and day trips can be taken at your leisure. The laccoliths (buttes) in this area offer endless scenery, hiking, wildlife viewing, and extraordinary sunrises and sunsets. One of the most famous, Square Butte, is located on our property. We are located approximately 40 miles from Great Falls, which offers an airport serviced by several major airlines. It is a western town with fine dining and shopping, as well as being the home of the Lewis and Clark National Historic Trail Interpretive Center and the CM Russell Museum of Art. In June of 2005 there is going to be a large commemoration of Lewis and Clark's Corps of Discovery's fantastic journey. Another fun spot to visit is one of the state's largest buffalo jumps at the Ulm Pishkun.
We offer a fully furnished ranch house with two bedrooms plus a queen hide-a-bed. We only book groups up to six with a minimum 3 night stay. We offer 3 meals a day eaten with our family. If you prefer to do some of your own cooking, that can be arranged. Some folks like the privacy of a continental breakfast, and then take the other meals with us.
Horseback riding, trailing cattle, branding, checking cattle on horseback, and general ranch chores are some of the things that you will participate in. Our ranch days are geared for those over 12 years of age, but special arrangements can be made by contacting us.
We offer hands-on time with young horses employing the natural horsemanship techniques taught by Ray Hunt, Buck Brannaman, and other 'Horse Whisperers'.
It is possible to attend and participate in special events such as brandings, rodeos, cattle drives and barrel races.
