Description: Bear's Den Outfitters specialize in high quality horseback hunts in the game rich Gallatin Mountains of southcentral Montana, near the edge of Yellowstone National Park. From our base camp on Rock Creek, you will hunt an area encompassing some 64 square miles. It straddles one of the major migration routes of the Yellowstone elk herd, estimated at 20,000 animals.

In addition to unsurpassed pack-in hunting for elk, mule, deer, moose, sheep and bear, we also offer exciting and less demanding hunting from 4WD vehicles for trophy whitetails, mule deer and pronghorn. Because we keep our groups small, six hunters or less, we have a perfect ratio of one guide to two hunters. For an extra charge, we will make the ratio one on one.

Our camps include warm carpeted tents, and food your Grandma might have made. Fresh cakes, pies , cobbler and cookies are baked daily. Our breakfasts are all 'cooked to order' with eggs, omelets, flap-jacks, toast, ham, sausage, bacon and home fries. Our lunches can be what you prefer - a hot lunch with soups, chili, fresh fruit

or a big sack lunch. Dinner will include beef steaks, pork loins or barbecued chicken and ribs.

We provide our client's with some unique services not provided by most outfitters: a full facility trophy care and butcher shop 'on-site'. Your kill can be caped out, butchered and wrapped to order. The meat is froze, ready to ship, and the cape is sent to the taxidermist, all within 48 hours, at no extra charge.

Directions: Bear's Den Outfitters is located one mile south of Interstate 90 on Highway 89 south to a right turn on Wine Glass Road. Continue about 0.5 mile to 82 Wine Glass Road.
