Description: Located in southern Montana along the Tongue River, the Lodge is outfitted to welcome up to 13 guests at a time. We were hard at work last summer to completely restore the historic lodge to a high standard of comfort and suitability for its location in a fantastic 100,000 acre working cattle ranch. The natural resources are here in great quantity and quality. Big Sky Country of Montana is known for its big blue skies and beautiful scenery. The Diamond Cross Ranch is a great example of what Montana has to offer, with its rough terrain and timber ridges, this is a beautifully scenic area hidden away that few people have the privilege to see.

We offer guided hunting for big game such as trophy elk, mule deer, antelope, upland game, migratory bird, and turkey. Fishing on the nearby Tongue river is also available. The Diamond Cross is a working cattle ranch and we offer opportunities for western photography, skeet and trap shooting, and plenty of other activities. The abundant wildlife in the timber and the eagles, ducks and geese along the Tongue River offer a great photo opportunity for the outdoor and wildlife enthusiast.

Corporate, group and family retreats are also welcome at the lodge. The serene and quiet setting of the lodge is the perfect place for groups to share important time together for meetings or just relax. Enjoy delicious meals together, then in the evening gather around an open fire under the spectacular Montana stars.

Directions: The Lodge: From Sheridan, Wyoming, north 33 miles on Decker Road, 15 miles northeast on Birney Road. From Ashland, Montana, off Highway 212, south 15 miles on Tongue River Road to Birney Day School, south 20 miles on Tongue River Road.
