Mark Jones is one of two Montana outfitters to hold commercial use permits on both Rock Creek and the Smith River. Smith River launches are available in early July and booked on a first come first served basis. Rock creek float trips are provided from April until the end of June. In 2000, River Resource Outfitters opened the Trout House providing lodging and access to Rock Creek, the Bighole and the Clark Fork rivers. Reservations for the Trout House are accepted on a first come, first serve basis. Directions: River Resource Outfitters is located in Missoula Montana and retains a lodge on Flint Creek, 50 miles east of Missoula.
