Description: Montana River Ranch is a beautiful log cabin nestled into a cozy surrounding of cottonwood trees overlooking acres of farmland. Our newly constructed three-level log cabin lends itself to a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere with a style of gracious living from years gone by. Experience Northeastern Montana's spectacular sunrises, sunsets and an abundance of wildlife across our entire ranch. The lodge is just minutes from the National Historic Sites of Fort Union, Fort Bufford and the Confluence of the Yellowstone and Missouri rivers. The best way to experience the historical Lewis and Clark Expedition is on the Missouri River float trips. Canoe rentals are also available for your pleasure. As we move through our ranch seasons you can have different opportunities and learn what life is like on our ranch. You can witness first hand irrigating crops, haying, cattle branding, cattle roundups and harvesting of grains and sugar beets. We give tours on our property and to nearby historical sites in Montana, such as Fort Union and North Dakota - Fort Bufford. Photo opportunities are magnificent, and we have various hiking trails for your enjoyment. We also have an excellent golf course, Red Mike, for your pleasure as requested and reserved. Limo services available at your request. We fish from both the shore and boat as we catch walleye, catfish, northern pike and goldeyes. Paddle fishing is also done at the Missouri River and Yellowstone Confluence, a short distance from our place. A full home cooked breakfast is served 7:30 - 9:00 am in the dining area or in your room, upon request. We are pleased to accommodate extra meal guests, picnics or additional meal requests upon arrangements. Enjoy our setting for your private dinners, special events and small conferences. Directions: From Highway 2: Take the Main Street of Bainville to end of street. Turn left, go 4 and 1/2 miles to the T. At the T, turn right, go west approximately 1/2 mile and turn left, crossing the cattle guard. Follow this road south approx. 2 miles. Our lodge will be on your left .From 1-94: Take Highway 16 North into Sidney, MT. Continue on through Sidney, taking Highway 200 Northeast into Fairview, MT. One mile past Fairview, turn North (left) on North Dakota Highway 58. Proceed 10 miles to T, turn left onto North Dakota Highway 1804. Continue on past Fort Union Trading Post (on the south side of the road to your left). The road will turn to gravel at the Montana state line - MT Hwy 327 .From MT Highway 327 at the MT/ND State Line: Follow the gravel road 7.8 miles. Turn left near country elevator. Cross tracks and turn right following the main road for 2 miles. Turn left at our sign and go south 2 miles. Our lodge will be on the left.
