Description: The Pigeye Basin is located in Central Montana in the foothills of the Little Belt Mountains. The Basin is as rich in history as it is in its abundant wildlife and scenic beauty. Western artist, Charlie Russell spent his first years in Montana in and around the Pigeye. Russell wrote in a letter to Brother Van about their meeting in the Pigeye Basin.

We offer a whole spectrum of personalized hunts, geared to the individuals preferences and limitations. Pigeye Basin Outfitters hunts on approximately 120,000 acres of land in the Lewis and Clark National Forest located 13 miles south of Utica. This land, in addition to several exclusive private land leases, allows us to hunt a variety of terrains, and elevations from 4,800 to 9,000 feet. With this difference in elevation, our guides can get to the game no matter where the weather moves them.

We offer hunts to a limited number of guests at one time; 2 to 6. Expert guides, knowledgeable in all areas and certified by the state, will accompany you on all hunts, with no more than 2 to 3 hunters per guide.

Large variety of upland bird game hunting includes the following: Hungarian Partridge, Sharptail Grouse, Clue and Ruffed Grouse, Ringneck Pheasant and Sage Grouse. There is also some great water fowl hunting, mainly Mallard, to be had. Licenses are available 'over the counter.'

LICENSE DEADLINE FOR BIG GAME IS MARCH 15!
